PADI Discover Scuba® Diving Experience

Have you ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? If you want to find out but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a full certification course, the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience will let you try scuba to see if you like it. At LET'S GO ADVENTURES we conduct this introductory dive experience within the Marine reserves of Nelson Bay with all of its fabulous Marine Life. Whilst you won't receive an actual scuba certification, the Discover Scuba Diving experience will allow you to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

The Fun Part

There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, most participants realise how easy scuba diving really is. The biggest challenge for LET'S GO ADVENTURES is coaxing Discover Scuba Diving participants out of the water when the dive is over. The fun part? It's all fun! Plus, if after completing the Discover Scuba Diving experience you decide to enrol in the PADI Open Water Diver Course, as a sign up bonus we'll give you 2 free boat dives to enjoy once your training is complete.

What You Learn

Your PADI Instructor, who will be right by your side during the entire dive, will teach you the basics that you need to know to dive safely underwater. So some of the experiences that you will gain by particpating in this introductory scuba dive will include:

• Learning what wearing scuba equipment feels like and how easy it is to move around underwater whilst using it.
• Finding out what it's like to breathe underwater and learn whether you can be comfortable underwater.
• Learning some basic skills and safety rules that will carry over to your full scuba certification course when you take the next step with the PADI Openwater Diver Course.

The Scuba Gear You Use

The course fee includes all of the equipment you will need to scuba dive safely and comfortably. So we will provide you with a mask, snorkel and fins, a wetsuit, a buoyancy compensating jacket (BCD) that carries your weights and scuba tank, a scuba regulator to breathe from and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply.

Prerequisites

To take participate in the Discover Scuba Diving program you must be at least 12 years old, be a comforfortable swimmer and be considered medically fit to scuba dive which you can check by completing a medical statement.
