Start diving

Over the course you will go on five adventures dives, giving you the opportunity to try some of diving’s most rewarding and useful specialty activities, such as deep diving, digital underwater photography, wreck diving and much more. The two core dives are a deep and a navigation dive. You could also go on a night dive, head out on a boat dive or even fly through the ocean on a drift dive. 

Students must complete a dive medical statement prior to the commencement of course, and if required may need a full dive medical with a doctor.

We will start with a short session explaining some basic dive theory and how your equipment works then our experienced PADI Instructors will take you to the shallow area of Fly Point, within the stunning Marine reserve. Experience fantastic fish life, get up close to big blue wrasse and if you are lucky you may even spot our resident turtle Tracey!

To participate in this program you must first complete a short medical statement and you must be able to swim. We provide all equipment, you just need your swimmers, towel, sunscreen and excitement!

Following your dive we will offer you a chance to upgrade to our Deluxe Open Water Certification package  at a special price so you can enjoy some further fantastic diving!

SCUBA Divers rarely forget their first dives – being able to breathe underwater is a fantastic feeling, not to mention the amazing marine life you can discover. Lets Go Adventures is a 5 Star PADI IDC centre where you can be assured a fun and safe journey through your diving training!

When lets Go Adventures trains you to be a diver, we spend time to make sure you are comfortable, competent and safe, which is why our open water training is a minimum of 3 days – why rush something that should be fun and enjoyable?! 

Your PADI Open Water Diver course includes:

• All equipment hire provided 
• 5 confined water (pool) sessions 
• 4 open water training dives 
• All instruction and PADI Gold certification card
• Your choice of either a:
  • ‘PADI Ultimate Crew pack’ including: PADI OW DVDs, a PADI Manual, a PADI Recreational Dive Planner and a logbook. 
  • PADI E-learning access pass which enables theory to be completed online at home.

To participate in the Open Water Course you must be able to swim 200m (not timed). You must also complete a medical statement and if required complete a dive medical with a doctor prior to starting course.  

Upgrade options:

• Deluxe Package (save $80). Most people choose to upgrade to the deluxe package. This upgrades the single boat dive gift voucher to a double dive and also includes gear hire (total value $180). This voucher can be used for any double boat dive either on a fourth day or on any double boat dive within a month after course completion. This includes the option of diving with grey nurse sharks at Broughton Island! These dives may also be used towards the PADI AWARE Shark conservation specialty or the PADI Advanced Open Water course. 

• PADI Openwater & Advanced Open water course package (save $50) Book your PADI Advanced Open Water course at the same time you book your open water course and save.

• Deluxe/PADI Enriched Air  Specialty (save $131). Include the deluxe upgrade and the worlds most popular specialty, PADI Enriched Air diver, and not only do you save but you also get 5 bonus Nitrox fills after your course and you are on your way to becoming a Master SCUBA diver!
