This means you will have more time to have fun!

Lets Go Adventures Instructors are highly qualified and professional, and may teach divers at levels ranging from Snorkeling,Freediving, Discover Scuba, Openwater, Advanced Openwater, Rescue Diver, Divemaster, Assistant Instructor and Professional level qualifications. Also offered are many specialty diving courses including deep diver, wreck diver, underwater navigator, night diver, underwater photography and drift diver, and technical dive courses.

Sharks are often wrongly portrayed by the media as dangerous and a threat to divers. In fact sharks are unique and play a crucial role in keeping our ocean healthy. Unfortunately some sharks species are close to becoming extinct and will be lost forever. The Grey Nurse Sharks which are regularly seen on our boat dives at Broughton Island is listed as Critically Endangered. The Project Aware Shark Conservation Course provides valuable information about sharks and the major threats to their existence, as well as some conservation management strategies and the reasons why we should be fighting to save the amazing creatures, but best of all you will learn what action we can take to give sharks a fighting chance.

The course includes two dives where your instructor will discuss environmental issues which affect the wellbeing of the sharks. This course may be counted towards the prestigious Master Scuba Diver rating.

Diving option. The course can be completed as two shore dives but we recommend the course be completed with our double boat dive to Broughton Island. If you are a certified nitrox diver you may receive a nitrox fill in your 2nd tank at a discounted rate if you specify at time of booking!

Your course cost includes a $10 donation to Project A.W.A.R.E. At your discretion you may choose to match or better this donation to help this worthwhile cause.

Firstly we will take you through a brief theory and equipment setup session, we will then practice a few core diving skills in shallow water, followed by a dive in the stunning Fly Point/Halifax Marine reserve.

After successfully completing your dive we will bring you back to our shop for hot showers and tea/coffee while helping you fill in your logbooks and processing a new PADI or SSI certification card*.

*If you have a certification card that issued by an agency other than PADI or SSI, you will need to bring your existig certification, logbook and any training logs you may have to assist the upgrade to an SSI Certification. To receive a new PADI card you must have an existing PADI certification.

The fun part about this course is the opportunity to explore the deep. It’s exhilarating! After your first few scuba dives, you soon want to explore a bit deeper. There’s something exciting and mysterious about the depth that attracts divers.

Our Deep Diver Specialty program is a series of 4 Instructor-led training dives for certification to a maximum depth of 40 metres. The program is divided up into 4 dives over two days. All deep dives through Lets Go Adventures are no-decompression deep dives. Our deep diver specialty course is designed to introduce student’s safety aspects and benefits of diving to the greatest depths recommended to recreational divers

Deep diving gives you the opportunity for many different activities such as wreck diving and the chance to see coral and marine life found only at deeper depths. Any time you descend below 20 metres it is considered a deep dive and deep diving requires more intensive training and planning. Consider new hazards that may exist at deeper depths, such as reduced visibility and colder water temperature changes like thermo clines.

Overall you will:

• Learn safe deep diving practices

• Use and experience redundant air systems.

• Recognize and be trained to deal with many hazards

Diving on wrecks is exciting and there are some potential risks too, but with the right training WRECK DIVING will become a great adventure.

The fun part of the Wreck Diver course is visiting wrecks, unlocking mysteries and starting to gain the knowledge and experience that allows you to see things that others overlook. Sometimes, only the trained, experienced eye recognizes that a small hole or open door likely caused the vessel’s demise.
