PADI Wreck Diver Course
$450.00   $395.00

Whether sunk on purpose as an artificial reef or the result of mishap, wrecks open fascinating windows to the past. Most divers find wrecked ships, airplanes and even automobiles nearly irresistible because they’re intriguing to explore, exciting avenues of discovery, and usually teeming with aquatic life.

It is an unbelievable experience to see a big ship from a bird’s perspective and to glide towards the captain’s bridge. But there are also tragedies related to wrecks. Diving on wrecks is exciting and there are some potential risks too, but with the right training WRECK DIVING will become a great adventure.

The fun part of the Wreck Diver course is visiting wrecks, unlocking mysteries and starting to gain the knowledge and experience that allows you to see things that others overlook. Sometimes, only the trained, experienced eye recognizes that a small hole or open door likely caused the vessel’s demise.

  • Techniques for diving exploring shipwrecks, and how to avoid common hazards
  • How to research and learn the background of your favorite wrecks
  • Wreck scuba diving equipment considerations
  • Considerations and techniques for entering intact wrecks
  • Experience in planning, and organizing wreck dives under the supervision of your qualified Instructor. This course includes 2 dives on the OAKLAND & 2 dives on the ex-HMAS Adelaide wrecks.

    Requirements:
To participate in this course each diver requires thier own, knife, slate, torch and Surface Marker Buoy. Full gear hire is available at a discounted price but does not include these items.
  • Please note  – divers need to organise thier own Government park fee of $18 to enable thier dives on the ex-HMAS Adelaide. This is purchased directly from Central Coast Tourism

Please ask us how you may use this course towards the presitigious PADI Master SCUBA Diver rating!

Has it been a while since you last went diving?

Were you rushed through a 2 day open water course and need to build experience or confidence?

Do you have an old certification card that you want to update?

Do you have a certification that is not PADI or SSI issued and are having difficulty getting your qualification recognised?

At Lets Go Adventures we take pride in training our divers so that they are comfortable and confident in the water. However we know that sometimes there can be a long break between dives, or that not everyone has had the same quality open water program we run over 3 days……

With our highly trained PADI and SSI Instructors we will refresh your skills and give you more confidence while exploring the famous marine reserve in Nelson Bay. Firstly we will take you through a brief theory and equipment setup session, we will then practice a few core diving skills in shallow water, followed by a dive in the stunning Fly Point/Halifax Marine reserve.

After successfully completing your dive we will bring you back to our shop for hot showers and tea/coffee while helping you fill in your logbooks and processing a new PADI or SSI certification card*.

*If you have a certification card that issued by an agency other than PADI or SSI, you will need to bring your existig certification, logbook and any training logs you may have to assist the upgrade to an SSI Certification. To receive a new PADI card you must have an existing PADI certification.
