The fun part about this course is the opportunity to explore the deep. It’s exhilarating! After your first few scuba dives, you soon want to explore a bit deeper. There’s something exciting and mysterious about the depth that attracts divers.

Our Deep Diver Specialty program is a series of 4 Instructor-led training dives for certification to a maximum depth of 40 metres. The program is divided up into 4 dives over two days. All deep dives through Lets Go Adventures are no-decompression deep dives. Our deep diver specialty course is designed to introduce student’s safety aspects and benefits of diving to the greatest depths recommended to recreational divers

Deep diving gives you the opportunity for many different activities such as wreck diving and the chance to see coral and marine life found only at deeper depths. Any time you descend below 20 metres it is considered a deep dive and deep diving requires more intensive training and planning. Learn about nitrogen narcosis, making emergency decompression stops and how to set up a drop tank. Consider new hazards that may exist at deeper depths, such as reduced visibility and colder water temperature changes like thermo clines.

Overall you will:

• Learn safe deep diving practices

• Use and experience redundant air systems.

• Recognize and be trained to deal with many hazards

• Gain valuable experience under the direct supervision of our experience Instructor

• Learn about Deep scuba diving equipment considerations.

• Learn Techniques for diving in the deeper range of 18-40 metres/ 60-130 feet

Requirements:

PADI Advanced Openwater Certification or equivalent.
