Whether you’re a fan of the ‘holiday’ or not, Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. And since we know you love diving, we thought we’d give you some ideas for how you can enjoy the day with both your loved one and your ‘committed relationship’ with scuba.
#1: If your partner doesn’t already dive, why not try a Discover Scuba Diving experience. Introducing your significant other to the underwater world could be life-changing for both of you! You’ll soon have someone to share your scuba obsession, err passion with, plus you get to watch their face light up at seeing the incredible array of colours and marine life we are so lucky to have here in Nelson Bay. High tide on Sunday, February 14th is at 1:46 pm – perfect timing if you want to enjoy a nice breakfast together before meeting at the shop at 11:45 am, and it still gives you a free evening afterwards. (DSD $150 per person including gear; $25 for certified divers to tag along, or $95 with full gear hire)
#2: Learn new skills together. Since Valentine’s Day falls on a weekend this year, we have several courses running, including PADI Open Water (Feb 12/13/14) and PADI Rescue Diver (Feb 13+14; prerequisites Advanced Open Water and current first aid certifications).
#3: A new mask. How else are you going to see each other’s smiling faces and beautiful, wetsuit-clad bodies? (all masks are on sale for $99!)
#4: Spring straps for yourself and your partner. These things are great for getting open-heeled fins on and off quickly and easily. Eliminate the struggle and impress other divers with how smooth you are!
#5: Or a brand new set of fins! Scubapro Seawing Novas and Twin Jet Max fins (both with built-in bungee straps) are currently on sale for $199.
#6: A double boat dive at Broughton Island. Because what could possibly be more romantic than a date with sharks?! ($130 per person or $180 with full gear hire)
Single and ready to mingle? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with a special “Single’s Boat Dive” in the afternoon (meeting at the shop at 1 pm). Come explore the ocean and meet like-minded people. Who knows where it may lead you!
Please give us a call on 4981-4331 to book in for any of the above or for any other inquiries. Of course, these are just a few of many possibilities so let us know if you have other ideas! Our upcoming dive schedule can be found by clicking here.
