It has been a fantastic week of diving. Visibility has ranged from 7m on shore dives to 15m on boat dives and the water has been 18 degrees. We have seen huge jewfish on The Breakwall, a grey nurse at Mrs Murphys on Tuesday, and Tracy the turtle venturing out to meet divers at Fly without the tracker on her shell.
Mid week dives have been proving very popular lately. Dont forget if you are keen to dive and you hold current Narki Gnome Dive club membership, you can take advantage of our free buddy service. Just call us to let us know when you are keen to dive and we will make sure you have a buddy. Also if you are keen for a particular dive site or boat dive which is not scheduled please let us know as we will do our best to get one planned for you.
Dont forget that this Saturday (11 Aug) it is Club day! It looks like we will have to cancel the 10am single club dive due to swell. So the plans have changed slightly. Meet us at 12.30 for a BBQ lunch at the shop then come with us for a shore dive at 3.17pm.
We have a PADI Rescue Diver course planned this weekend. If you have not already done this course it is a great way to increase your situational awareness, helping you avoid accidents and have confidence to act in case something were to occur to your dive buddies. This course is highly recommended for all divers.
The PADI Deep & Enriched Air courses on the 25 & 26th Aug are proving popular. Give us a call if you are keen to join in. Or if you are a qualified deep diver and would like to join on a Macleay/ Oakland double dive on Sun 26th please book in. Don’ t forget we also have a trip to the Sitara & Edith caves planned on 9th September for deep & tech divers – reserve your spot now
For those of you who are curious about entering the professional dive path, we are hosting a PADI Go Pro Careers seminar evening on 1 Sep. Please contact us for further information.
FIJI UPDATE – We are booked from 2-7 Nov, for 6 nights at the Uprising resort with 4 shark dives and 4 coral reef dives. Costing from $1700 for dorm share. If you are keen get your booking form in now so you dont miss out!
Adam, Trevor, Nigel & Daryl can now all be seen proudly modeling the mens version of the Scubapro Everydry 4 Drysuit. We are getting very happy feedback.
