Lets Go Diving-23 May News

The morning tides are looking great for the weekend. The Water is still as warm as a bath at 22 deg, and at sunrise this morning Emma and her newly certified PADI Open water diver Marie were rewarded with 12-15m vis at Fly Point. That is not a misprint. Yes they could see the surface from 17m and the 12m ledge was clearly visible from the 6m ledge. So better make the most of it as who knows when the winter cold water will arrive. (Not soon we hope!!!)

The boats are full for Sunday, but there are still spots for Saturday. Every time we check the forecast the swell seems to get better for the weekend. Lets hope it continues because there must be clear water outside and we are keen to dive.

We had a fantastic turnout on our club day desite having to postpone our Night boat dive to the Oakland due to swell. Congratulations to Nathan Panek who was the winner of our trip to Kavieng. His winning ticket came from completing his PADI wreck specialty course. There are now only a few more spots on Emma’s trip to PNG so if missed out on winning but would still like to come please contact us now so you don’t miss out.

If you are not keen on the cold we have plenty of tropical dive holidays planned. So come down and have a look if you need a holiday what better way to unwind than diving. Shortly we will also be revealing the rest of our 2014 trips, including sharks, mantas, reefs, critters and maybe a wreck or too.

Don’t forget that your gear and tanks need to be serviced annually and now is a great time to get it done. If you don’t use your gear much through winter having it done now will lessen the damage done by any salt that may be retained after your summer fun. Feel free to come in and have a chat with our service team we are here to help.
