Lets Go Diving-14 Feb News
Well our first club day for 2013 went off with without a bang. We had great reports back about the diving and all involved seemed to enjoy themselves; exceptionally good reports back about the trip to Broughton Island. We love hearing about your dive experience and particularly love seeing all those photos tagged on our Facebook site. If you have any photos like this Nudibranch named Ceratosoma Sinuatum Trevor Hall found, please feel free to share. Our next club day will be held on March 9th.

We encourage both divers and non-divers to come along and participate. If you wish to be part of the diving crew please confirm with us this week as there are only limited dive positions available, the cost is $30. OAKLAND Double dive Fundraiser
As divers we all know the dangers of sun exposure. Recently, one of our local Senior Aircrew man Hunter Region Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service has had surgery to remove a cancerous melanoma from his shoulder. Following the removal, further surgery was necessary to remove lymph nodes from his neck and under his arm. On March 9th, in conjunction with Hunter Region Westpac Helicopter Service, we will hosting dive day and BBQ to raise some much needed funds to assist with his recovery. On the day, at 8:00am, a Tec-diving boat (Limit 8 divers) will depart the d’Albora marina for the wreck of the Oakland for a semi tech dive, run time determined on the day. At 9:00am there will be a second dive boat departing Dalbora Marina, for a double dive on Oakland wreck. We urge all divers to get involved. You can book online next week or through our shop. See this Facebook event for more detail.
